Price: – R20-00 for a 100gr bar, direct from factory
Opinion: – Delicious and well priced
Cocoa Fair is a new organic bean-to-bar chocolate factory founded on social entrepreneurship, based in Cape Town, at the Biscuit Mill, in Woodstock.
Their chocolate is tasty and organic, comes in a variety of cocoa percentages and flavours, and is reasonably priced. You can buy directly from the factory and maybe online, check out their site. Not sure if they have any other outlets yet, but I’m sure it won’t be long before they do. My favourite is the 65%, but there is a big selection and if you are looking for a gift or chocolate to cook with or purely just to guzzle, I can really recommend it. It is also great to be able to support a local company who is also committed to supporting the community in various initiatives.
They also seem to enjoy people popping in, where they are only too keen to share their enthusiasm and passion for the industry with tastings and info. Check out their website for more information on what they are doing, what varieties they have on sale, and on the chocolate courses they will be offering. I definitely look forward to watching this company grow from strength to strength.
