I recently bought this product at Pick n Pay. I have not really had a chance to review it as a product yet. As far as how environmentally safe if it for us or the environment I am also not sure of. The outside of the bottle states that it is paraben and colour free, contains certified organic and natural ingredients, 100% phalate and sulphate free. It is EU compliant and certified by Stellar Certification Services. See: –http://www.greenerchoices.org/eco-labels/program.cfm?LabelID=19&searchType=Program%20Index&searchValue=&refpage=programIndex&refqstr. It is also not tested on animals.
Having said that the back of the bottle contains a list of ingredients as long as my arm, of unpronounceable words that mean nothing to me. Maybe it’s something as simple as the scientific names for organic products that sound so mind-boggling? I really would like to look into these in more depth, as I would like to do on many other products as well.
According to EWG the product gets a ‘moderate hazard’ rating? See: – http://www.ewg.org/skindeep/search.php?query=petal+fresh+organics&h=Go
